On December 28th, 2016 we had the pleasure of creating the florals for Preston and Mariah's wedding day. This was a unique experience for us because we had never met with them and had been hired by their wedding planner, Ally Hunt. Needless to say we were a bit anxious leading up to the big reveal because we wanted to make sure every thing was just right!
And speaking of the big reveal these two had the sweetest first look!
Mariah had requested a European style bouquet with matching bridesmaid bouquets and boutonnieres.
For the reception she had wanted a similar look and feel so we did long and low centerpieces in matching flowers.
Since the wedding we've had a chance to catch up with Mariah and here is what she had to say:
How did you two meet?
"We met in church up at school at BYU-Idaho. I had a crush on him and we became friends first before we dated."
How did he pop the question? "He popped the question by taking me out to a romantic fire and played a special song for me on the ukulele, then asked the big question."
How did you feel leading up to the big day? "I felt so excited to get married. I could not wait to finally be with him forever. It was wonderful and surreal that I was getting to marry my crush and best friend."
Was it everything you were dreaming of?
"My wedding exceeded my expectations completely. Everything was so beautiful and incredible. My mother in law hired a wedding planner, Ally Hunt, that was absolutely amazing and transformed the reception space into the most gorgeous reception I could have dreamed of. Everything went smoothly and perfectly; it was a dream come true. The flowers were incredible! They were exactly what I had pictured and so beautiful! I love flowers so much and I could not have asked for more beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and decorations. I continue to get compliments on the flowers in pictures of them!"
We completely enjoyed creating these flowers and couldn't be happier for Mariah and Preston! If you'd like to see more inspiration for your big day come check us out on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter!
